Hello everyone! I'm new to the community, but I've been on and off livejournal forever. My love for BNL, however, has not. To date I have seen them five times in concert, but all of these have been before Steven Page made his exit/got the boot/what have you (I've seriously heard so many stories on this that I just prefer to simply say "he's not there anymore.") Actually, I think I was at his last concert with them. It was last New Year's Eve in Detroit and I think it was their 20 year anniversary show. It was awesome.
Age? 26.
Favorite songs: Wind It Up, For You, Falling for the First Time, Alcohol, It's All Been Done
Other favorite groups: Coldplay, the Beatles, Flogging Molly, Queen
Other fandoms: Disney animated movies, House MD, the Big Bang Theory
Hobbies: writing, story boarding, doodling, and sadly, job hunting.
Also, quick question. As you can see from the above survey, I love the show The Big Bang Theory, which of course, BNL did the theme song for. Here's my situation. Weeks ago, I was broke. And I'm talking about BAAAA-ROKE!! But as i was browsing iTunes, I spotted the full version of the Big Bang Theory theme. Sadly, couldn't buy it then. Now I have the spare dollar to get it and guess what? I can't find the Big Bang theme anywhere! It's gone! I do a search for it and get Ludacris or something. Nothing!
So does anybody have a copy of the Big Bang Theory theme they'd be willing to share? i'd love you forever! KThanx!!

Story time. Stick with me here, friends.
So as I listening to a Blog Talk Radio show the other day, a certain Canadian by the name of Colin Mochrie and his dear improving friend Brad Sherwood were on the show. I'm a huge fan of Whose Line and all those guys, so I gave a listen. Near the end of said radio show, someone phoned in a question asking what thier favorite songs where. Songs that they could listen to over and over again. (I didn't phone in, but I was glad someone asked that, because i'm always curious about people's music tastes.) Colin answered saying that the song "The Night I Fell Asleep At The Wheel" by the Barenaked Ladies. Of course I had heard of the band before, but I don't think I had heard much past their huge hits they played on the radio. The night following, out of curiosity, I decided to download the entire album that the particular song came on - during said process, I also came across thier "All Thier Greatest Hits" CD and downloaded that as well. (All legally, in case you were wondering.) I went on a trip the following weekend out of town for Memorial Day, and took the oppurtunity of the long car trip to listen to both albums in full.
In short, i'm sure i've fallen in love with this band.
I just need to know what is the best source/place to read a good band bio, band history and ect (BESIDES wikipedia) - and what album should I buy next from this point? Anything anyone wants to tell me, ect? I want to hear from longtime fans of the band.
Thank you, everyone. :)

For those of you who don't know, I'm moving to the UK possibly within the year, and have been scaling back all my possessions. This is probably the first of several BNL related items for sale I'll be posting, as I'd rather this stuff go to fans over ebay.
Cleaning out my closet I found an XL Barenaked Athletics Hoodie. It is missing the drawstring for the hood, but it is otherwise in perfect condition. I can count on one hand the number of times I wore the shirt. Asking $35, includes US shipping. International to be determined based on location.
I also have a Barenaked Athletics Pewter Keychain. The Keychain is well-worn, since it resided on my keychain for several years. Asking $4, includes US shipping. International, $5 with shipping.
The last item I found in my clean-out - Barenaked for the Holiday's Santa Hat. Never worn. Asking $10, includes US shipping. International to be determined based on location
All items are from a smoke-free home. I DO have a cat, however. All clothing items have been washed, dried and then immediately kept away from the cat though. I accept paypal only, though we can make arrangements for other forms of payment if you really need to.
I'm willing to offer a discount if you want all three items!

**FREE until March 27th** CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD NOW! Well, Ladies Fans, here it is. The board tape from our first show as a 4 Piece band, live from Universal Studios, Orlando, March 7th at the 2009 Mardi Gras celebrations. Yes, we were excited. Yes, we were nervous - definitely more excited than nervous though which propelled the energy level to heights normally associated with 90's era BNL, not to mention the good vibes from the 14,000 or so of you that showed up to kick off the new era. Upon listening you'll hear us getting our sea-legs after a couple of songs. You'll also hear our sound man of 18 years, Robin Billinton, figuring out where back-up vocals are coming from, as myself, Ed, Kev, and Jim all try to remember our new parts. There's nothing like a good old fashioned Learning Curve to keep a bunch of seasoned pro's on their toes! We hope you enjoy it... warts and all!! We're all very grateful to the folks at Universal for having Barenaked Ladies down to Florida to play, despite the recent change in our line-up. Their faith in us gave us the opportunity to get back to what we do best - rocking our songs for you, and for each other. I think we're gonna be OK, Y'all! On behalf of Ed, Jim, Kevin, and all of our Crew - we thank you for a wonderful, warm night in Orlando. We felt your love, and it propels us. Four Piece!!!

Hi - point of post - I couldn't find a syn feed for Page's new blog, so I created one at the_stevenpages. Polite intro - various shows since 93, did taping / vids and tree trades in the wayback days of usenet. File me under highly positive about recent events. Sucks, sure, but without Andy they became something new, so I expect good things. And hey, in another 20 years that reunion show will be awesome. Random story - Taste of New Haven, right after AC left, they ended up going on early than advertised - some very odd older dude in a football helmet and not much else dancing up front, fans running from illegally parked cars when they realized there were late - people yelling "Where's Andy? Where's Andy?" me really tired from the last show - I asked Kevin to sign my cd - he said "I'm not in the band, exactly." I said "You will be." So glad I was right, as much Andy love as I have.
